Refund Policy

30 days. No questions. Pre-paid label.

If the R36S isn't for you, send it back within 30 days for a full refund. We'll cover return shipping. No restocking fees. No "you must return it in original packaging or else." We trust you.

How to start a return

  1. Email hello@retropulse.com with your order number and the reason (one sentence is fine — the reason is for our learning, not for gatekeeping).
  2. We'll email you a pre-paid USPS label within one business day.
  3. Drop the package off at any post office or hand it to your mail carrier.
  4. Once we receive it, we'll refund your original payment within 3 business days. Your bank may take a few additional days to surface the credit.

What we accept back

Working device, defective device, device you decided you didn't want, device that arrived and you realized you wanted the bigger memory card — doesn't matter. If it's within 30 days, we accept it.

What we don't refund

Devices that have been physically damaged (cracked screen, water damage, broken buttons from drops). For those, we have a paid repair option — email us for a quote.

Custom firmware doesn't void anything. If you flashed muOS and want to return the device, that's fine. We just reflash stock and resell it as open-box.

Defective on arrival

If the unit doesn't power on, has dead pixels, drifted joysticks out of the box, or has any other manufacturing defect, we'll send a replacement immediately — you keep the broken one or send it back, whichever is easier. Just email us with a photo or video of the issue.

Refund timing

  • Credit/debit card: 3–5 business days after we receive the return
  • PayPal: 1–2 business days
  • Apple Pay / Google Pay: same as credit card
  • Buy-now-pay-later (Affirm/Klarna): we send the refund to them; their schedule varies

Exchanges

Want to swap colors or memory configurations? Easier to refund the first order and place a new one for what you actually want. Email us and we'll coordinate.

Warranty repairs (after 30 days)

Within the one-year warranty: defects covered, send it in, we repair or replace. Drop damage and water damage: we offer paid repair. Email us for a quote — usually $20–$40 plus shipping depending on what broke.
